We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with trusted third-party services necessary to operate StudentBuddy, including:

• Supabase — secure database and authentication.
• Flutterwave — payment processing.
• AI Providers — to generate responses to your questions (no personal data is sent).

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@studentbuddy.app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StudentBuddy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Use of the Platform

You agree to use StudentBuddy only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

• Use the platform to cheat in exams or engage in academic dishonesty.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our services.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Upload harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Resell or redistribute access to StudentBuddy.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use StudentBuddy. Users under 18 should have parental consent.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically.
• You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 7 days of billing.
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

5. AI-Generated Content

StudentBuddy uses AI to generate content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. Always verify important information with a qualified teacher or official source. StudentBuddy is a study aid, not a substitute for professional education.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on StudentBuddy is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reproduce any part of our platform without written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

StudentBuddy is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of StudentBuddy after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
